ABOUT THE AWARDS
The Spotlight Awards is an awards show unique to the West Coast, aiming to honor creatives on the West Coast who continue to excel in their God given craft, while also inspiring others to aim for greatness creatively. The Spotlight Awards is designed to be an evening of celebration, entertainment and recognition, hosted by the Central Valley Music & Arts Collective in association with the Gospel Industry Network.
This Awards Show recognizes exemplary pastors, groups, choirs, independent gospel music artists and entrepreneurs for their outstanding contributions toward the betterment and advancement of their communities. The Spotlight Awards offers a platform to the Independent Artists of the West Coast while giving them an opportunity to network, while also honoring the trailblazers who have come before them.
Whether it’s singing, musicianship, hair styling, or marketing & design, the Spotlight Awards elevates and celebrates the Arts!

OUR SELECTION PROCESS
The Selection Process
The process begins with the general public submitting nominations for consideration. The nominations are then screened for eligibility and category placement. Board members and affiliates of the Central Valley Music & Arts Collective submitting entries, which The board members, all involved in various areas of media, creative and technical processes of music & recording, then participate in the final nominating process that determines the finalists in each category. The final voting process which determines the winners is done by public voting.
*Although the Spotlight Awards highlights the Central Valley, nominee submissions are not restricted to the Central Valley
Submission
The general public, board members and affiliates enter names, recordings and videos released during the eligibility period which they consider worthy of recognition in the Spotlight Awards process.
Nominating/Selection
Before any name is released or the final voting/ selection panel, the nominee MUST accept their nomination by or before the required due date. After the nominee has accepted their nomination, the name is then released to the selection panel for the final voting process.
Internet Voting
This process will allow internet voters to vote on their favorite artist/vocalist/musician.
Results
Results of members voting are not known until the Spotlight Awards presentation ceremony when names of the winners are delivered in sealed envelopes. All Award winners are revealed during the Spotlight Awards show.
